About Me

COUCHSURFING is NOT TINDER
-----------------------------------------------------------
Hi there! I'm Juliana, and I'm traveling around Europe while trying to learn as many languages as I can.
I'm a Language Assitant teacher in Figeac, France right now and I've been teaching English in Japan last year.
I love meeting people and hearing their life stories — I think it's like little movies I can hear and imagine.

I'm really a references fan, so getting to know a place through local recommendations is, for me, the best way to explore it. I've been traveling for about a year, and this is my first year using Couchsurfing.
Thanks for reading, and have a nice day :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing to make my solo trips something I’ll remember and be able to tell later. Traveling alone can be a little challenging and sometimes is good to meet kind people who makes your trip more exciting (rather than just pictures). Those encounters are what I value the most from my trips.

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer movies, both new ones and older ones. I’m really fascinated by Wong Kar Wai’s world and by Japanese films that show everyday life.

My favorite movie is Happy Together — I love its cinematography, its connection with Argentina, and the way it portrays the LGBTQ+ community on the big screen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bought a car without really knowing how to drive, which turned into a wonderful and challenging experience. Also, I lived in Japan for 6 months without knowing much Japanese — definitely amazing and unforgettable adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

Talking about history, languages and ways of cooking, it's kind of my passion.
As we say in Arg, "el arte de hablar sin saber".

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell a lot of stories — both from my own experiences and from people I’ve met along the way. I really enjoy sharing them and hearing others too.

Cooking Argentinian food is something I truly love — it makes me feel at home, and I’m always happy to cook and share a meal together.

I also love animals, so if you have a pet, I’ll be very happy to meet them and spend some time together.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Brazil, Chile, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Japan, Peru, Scotland, Spain, Turkey, United States, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In
