About Me

Hey there! I’m Julio or Julius, a 37-year-old traveler with a heart full of wanderlust and a mind open to all the beautiful ways people live their lives. I’ve had the privilege of calling places like Germany (Berlin), the USA (NY and VA), Mexico (Quintana Roo and DF) , Guatemala (Antigua), and Nicaragua (Granada) home, and I’ve traveled through many countries of Europe, North and Central America, and even the magical vibes of Cuba and from the South only Perú, unfortunately jeje.

I’m currently learning German and would love to connect with native speakers—because nothing beats learning a language through real conversations and shared experiences.

What I Believe
🌟 Life is all about learning from each other. Everyone has a story, and I love being a part of that exchange.
🌈 I embrace diversity, respect every way of life, and believe in spreading kindness wherever I go.
🕊️ I’m all about living in the moment, going with the flow, and letting life surprise me.

My Vibes

🌊 Beaches, waves, sunsets, and a touch of surf
🧘 Yoga, meditation, and moments of pure zen
🎶 House and electronic music, but I’m just as happy with a random playlist that sets the vibe
☕ Coffee, tea, mate, kombucha, cocktails—whatever fits the moment
🎭 Art, theater, and deep, soulful conversations
!Party sometimes is not bad!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel, I like to see the country & I can help others too!

To me, Couchsurfing is about building a global family. It’s not just about places to stay—it’s about meeting incredible people, exchanging stories, and opening ourselves up to the beauty of human connection.

I believe we all have something to teach and something to learn, and that’s the real adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you the basics of Spanish, share tips for beginner surfers, or even help with learning about Costa Rican culture and customs.

I’m eager to learn more about local cooking techniques or try my hand at yoga and meditation while in Costa Rica.

I love sharing my travel stories and tips, and I’m happy to offer a place to stay or explore together if you’re up for it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

The main draw of Couchsurfing is providing a place to sleep for free, whether it’s on a couch, a bed, or even a shared space.

Share recommendations about places to visit, restaurants, beaches, activities, and excursions in the area. Tamarindo is known for its vibrant beach life and water activities such as surfing, fishing, and turtle watching.

Provide a deeper insight into life in Tamarindo and Costa Rican culture, allowing travelers to experience the place more authentically.

I might invite travelers to join local activities like surfing, hiking, yoga, or excursions. In Tamarindo, you can enjoy spectacular sunsets and explore the surrounding nature.

As a teacherwe have the opportunity to meet other travelers, creating an international network of people passing through the area.

Organize dinners or share local traditions like Costa Rican cuisine, giving you the chance to try typical dishes such as "gallo pinto" or "casado."
