Overview
About Me
We are a Colombian couple of artists and psychologists who have been together for 13 years.
We're currently living in Barcelona with our two cats (colombian's too). Juli is doing a PhD in journalism (and writing a cat's book), and I’m studying a master’s degree in film directing (also I'm a yoga teacher).
We love nature, animals, art, literature, cinema, good music, meditation, great food, and deep conversations (with or without a glass of wine 😉). The ocean makes us feel at home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For us, traveling means getting to know new cultures, growing as human beings, and sharing a bit of our roots and Colombian culture wherever we go.
We're looking forward to exploring Portugal with open eyes: the culture, the flavors, landscapes, and whatever surprises the journey brings, we enjoy meeting new people and talking about life, dreams, cultures, and the things that connect us all.
Interests
We love reading, especially short stories and books that explore the human experience and let us know different ways of thinking, also theatre and film's scripts as Andrea is filmmaker and actress.
We also love dancing salsa and Latin rhythms , it's one of our favorite ways to have fun and feel free.
And off course yoga and meditation, that are part of our daily life.

About moives this will definitely be a long conversation... 😄
We love A Bakery in Tokyo, Past Lives, and In the Mood for Love by Wong Kar Wai (so poetic and emotional)
Also huge fans of Parasite, Everything Everywhere All at Once, and the Colombian film Pájaros de Verano.
Movies are a big part of our lives, we could talk about them for hours... maybe over a cold beer!
Some of our favorite authors are Julio Cortázar and Gabriel García Márquez. Some favorites books are:
Cien años de soledad – Gabriel García Márquez
El axolotl – Julio Cortázar
Harry Potter (we're big fans!)
The Artist’s Way – Julia Cameron
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When we adopted or cats, are our sons! Quesito and Sere :D
This year I went to Australia to meet my niece... it was love at first sight, but also the beach in Australia are amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
We love sharing our culture , especially Colombian food and music. Singing and dancing are part of who we are! Juli plays the ukulele, and we both enjoy jamming rock and Latin rhythms.
Andrea is a yoga teacher and also teaches theater and Latin dance. If we meet, we’d be happy to share a bit of our art with you!
Juli used to teach psychology and research in Colombia (something he truly loved and missed) Now he's learning Catalan, since it's often required to teach at universities in Barcelona.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We will be happy to cook a Colombian meal for you (if you’d like and have time) or guide you through a yoga or meditation session, even Latin dance if you like it!
