ABOUT ME

I am an American with dual U.K. citizenship born in Japan and raised in Hong Kong and Singapore. I graduated from Florida State University, and I miss student life greatly. I consider myself to be a pretty lazy person. I enjoy GoldenEye 64 way too much. I love beer, but I love tea even more. I don't believe in good and evil. I think everyone is interesting and has at least one good story worth telling. I love food, especially hearty and spicy dishes. I love good humor, and I truly believe that you can find it in all situations.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't believe in many things, but I do believe in duct tape.

All kinds of music, movies, and books. I really enjoy learning and talking about history, culture, football (soccer), politics, random trivia, traveling, and science. My greatest passion in life is eating good food.

I really enjoy watching movies regardless of genre, where it is from, or how good or bad it is. My favourite movie of all time is Jurassic Park, because I love dinosaurs and it is one of the first films I remember watching in a theater. Other films I enjoy include: the Seven Samurai, Aliens, Black Dynamite, Sunshine, Let the Right One In, Birdemic: Shock and Terror, Oldboy, Akira, and Pulp Fiction.

As for music, I have a fairly eclectic taste. Currently my favorite groups and musicians are Radiohead, Japandroids, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Minus the Bear, the Hood Internet, Daft Punk, etc...

I am an avid reader and I especially enjoy science fiction books and books with a great sense of humor. I am particularly fond of writers like Terry Pratchett, Kurt Vonnegut, and Cormac McCarthy. My favourite books include All Quiet on the Western Front, the His Dark Materials books, Weaveworld, The Stranger (L’Étranger), The Island of Dr. Moreau, A Clockwork Orange, etc...

I flew on a hot air balloon over Cappadocia, Turkey and I have been on a roadtrip from California to Florida, twice.
