About Me

Hi! I’m Yun, originally from Taiwan and just about to start a new chapter of travel and reconnection.

I used Couchsurfing years ago when I was exploring Europe solo, and now I’m back! Not just to find places to stay, but to meet kind, curious people who enjoy sharing stories, culture, and everyday moments.

I love photography, slow walks in new cities, good pastries, and deep conversations over coffee.

Whether you’re up for hosting or just meeting for a chat or a stroll, I’d be really happy to connect. Open to friendships of all kinds!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whether I’m traveling or at home, I believe the best way to understand a place is through the people who live there.

When I travel, I love connecting with locals and fellow travelers — not just for recommendations, but to share stories, perspectives, and moments that make a place feel alive.

When I’m in Taiwan, I’m always happy to meet people from around the world, exchange cultures, and maybe show you a bit of my home through my eyes.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like everything with a little bit pop. I listen to all different kind of music except heavy metal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stepping out of my comfort zone and solo-traveling across Europe years ago — with not-so-good English but a really open heart — was one of the most beautiful decisions I’ve ever made.

I made friends in every city, got lost in places I’d never heard of, and discovered how much life gives back when you’re open to it.

That spirit still guides me now, wherever I go.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love photography, especially capturing people in their natural moments. If you’re up for it, I’d be happy to take some portraits of you during your travels.

I enjoy sharing Taiwanese culture — from night market food tips to language, daily habits, and stories behind traditions.

Always happy to swap travel stories, listen to what moved you, or talk about life over coffee or a walk.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I may not always be able to cook or clean (though I’ll happily help!), but what I can definitely share is good conversation, genuine curiosity, and a calm, respectful presence.

I also love taking portraits or travel photos — so if you’re up for it, I’d love to help capture a few moments of your everyday life or your favorite spot in the city.

If you’re also into coffee and happen to have an espresso machine at home, I’d love to share what I know about latte art — I worked as a barista in the UK for five years, and teaching others was always one of my favorite parts of the job.

If you’re a fellow female traveler or host and happen to have some nail tools at home, I’d be happy to help you with a little manicure. I’m also a trained nail artist and love sharing that side of my creativity when there’s a chance.

And of course, I’d love to share stories about Taiwan, what life was like in the UK, and hear about your world too.
