ABOUT ME

I have always been interested in learning other cultures since very young. This interest led me to move to Canada alone at my age of 15. Exploring the new world at such a young age wasn't so easy at times but after living through there for 5 years I realize coming to Canada was one of the best decisions I've made. I'm now back in my hometown Seoul, South Korea, planning for the next adventure to come.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't want to consider myself as a philosophical person but I always find life beautiful, and capturing those moments in life with a camera and sharing with more people is always a goal of my life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have CouchSurfing Experience yet, but i was recommended by a friend who says it's the best thing in the world. I hope to be saying that too pretty soon!

Interests

To overcome my loneliness I relied on watching cinema which often touched my heart deeply. I, from some point of my life started thinking I should share my stories in my life through films too. I then went on to a film school for a year in Canada and now working as an Assistant Director in Korean film industry. I recently got interest in documentary filmmaking and am now preparing to shoot a documentary of me traveling Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books

A lot of what I like are from the past. I like what's classic. Both music and movies I like are usually from the 70's-80's era. I have a huge interest in European Cinema, especially French and also love the Independent Cinema. Francois Truffaut (France) John Cassavetes (USA) Abbas Kiarostami (Iran) are just a few of the filmmakers I like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have participated in legendary filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami's workshop!
I have won a championship in amateur football league!
I have lost a day of my memory from head concussion.
