Overview
About Me
I’m someone who lives with contrasts—quiet but social, calm yet sometimes deeply enthusiastic. I enjoy spending time alone, but I also genuinely love connecting with people and sharing conversations that feel real and unforced. I tend to be careful and thoughtful, but at the same time, easygoing and flexible in daily life.
I study humanities at Seoul National University in South Korea. Travel is one of the most important parts of my life—not as an escape, but as a way to understand both the world and myself more honestly. When I travel, I often place myself in unfamiliar situations and let things unfold naturally. I don’t always know what will happen, but that uncertainty is exactly what helps me discover new sides of the world and of myself.
For me, travel is about becoming more complete—not perfect, but more aware, more open, and more human.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One thing I often missed while traveling was the chance to truly connect with local people beyond the surface level. When I discovered Couchsurfing, it felt like a natural answer to that longing.
For me, the most important part of travel is human connection—sharing everyday moments, conversations, and perspectives. Couchsurfing makes that possible in a way that feels genuine and meaningful.
Interests
I don’t have many scattered interests; instead, I tend to focus deeply on a few things I truly care about. That said, I’m very open to learning from others. I enjoy listening, and I’m always curious about what people are passionate about—so feel free to share your interests with me.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
Music is one of my greatest passions. I mostly listen to piano music from the 19th and 20th centuries—composers like Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, and Moszkowski. I also play the piano myself (not professionally), and whenever I come across a piano, I’m usually happy to sit down and play.
Books
I don’t read constantly, but some writers have stayed with me for a long time—Erich Fromm, Milan Kundera, and Zhuangzi (an ancient Chinese philosopher). I’m especially drawn to texts that question how we live and relate to the world.
Movies
I don’t watch movies very often. Fight Club used to be my favorite—though not anymore. I guess that says something about how I’ve changed.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I genuinely enjoy talking with people and getting to know them, so we’ll likely have good conversations. I’m respectful, thoughtful, and easy to live with.
If you’re curious about Korean culture, society, or daily life, I’d be happy to share and answer questions. And if you ever visit Korea in the future, I’d gladly return the hospitality and show you around as your local guide.
