About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to make the most of this wonderful life

ABOUT ME

for the past two years i have been living my life in a state of perpetual movement and transition: research, work and a desire to explore have taken me to vastly different corners of the world on many unexpected adventures.

PHILOSOPHY

live with integrity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i'm currently working in kosovo on a short-term monitoring and evaluation assignment. while here i'm hoping to meet a few people and explore this region of the world.

Interests

bicycles. impromptu adventures. history and cultural anthroplogy. food -- i'll try just about anything. puns. economics. good beer. afternoons reading at a coffee shop. dancing for hours. random facts and figures. experiencing that feeling of being in the best place on earth. finding new music. exploring.

Music, Movies, and Books

i'm pretty open-minded about music and i make it a habit to seek out new music wherever i travel. lately i've been listening to paco de lucia, the naked and famous, devotchka, the head and the heart, and world's end girlfriend (just to name a few).

i love to read classic lit, history and other non-fiction. i'm currently in the middle of balkan ghosts. some of my all time favorite authors are oscar wilde, hemmingway and nabokov.

i'm addicted to documentary films though i'll watch (and enjoy) just about anything. some of my fav movies would have to be amelie, everything is illuminated and, yes, i'll admit it, amadeus.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

not in any particular order:
1. climbing the glaciers in el calafate, argentina;
2. seeing typhoon play at bastille day festival in portland, oregon;
3. swimming in the indian ocean; and
4. going just about anywhere on my bicycle.

Teach, Learn, Share

i'm a pretty decent cook and i'm always up for exchanging recipes and tricks.
