About Me
Hello this is Juri - who am I writing to? No one there, let me go on then. Neuroscience graduate, now bioinformatics PhD student, into grappling, trance and experimental music. Converted a van together with me dad that I'm about to move into. Will have to see about hosting in that set up so it's just surfing for now. As much as possible!
Interests
- flying
- piano
- abandoned places
- adrenaline
- climbing trees
Music, Movies, and Books
Baby Keem, Quasimoto, J.S. Bach, Steve Reich, Beatles, Bad Bunny, Philip Glass, La P'tite Fumée, Brazil (1985), Eyes Wide Shut, Night on Earth, Burmese days, Naoki’s smile, Harry Potter come to mind
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've become too British to answer but also British enough to slip it into conversation if it fits the conversation. Amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm good at piano and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (basically reverse physiotherapy aka sweaty man-hugging aka actually effective self-defence)
I'm an open guy and receptive to new ideas and lifestyles.
When I was still hosting and had the time, I liked showing surfers around, bringing them to social events and cooking together.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Reliable communication and low-maintenance cohabitation. I know what it's like being a host and love tuning in to whatever is going on in my host's microcosm.
After two less than kosher experiences and stories from other surfers I wanna add this: I love that CS is full of open-minded explorative minds. But as anywhere, there's sharks around looking to exploit the system. CS hosts à la "I have a cozy bed to share", or the "btw, I expect guests to share a naturalistic lifestyle"-note are red flags in my book. Read profiles carefully and stay safe ppl
