CURRENT MISSION

We're just trying to live and learn, but most importantly to have fun, Personally, we feel that this is best accomplished by meeting awesome people and eating delicious food, but we are open to suggestions!

ABOUT ME

all of us:
-3rd year college students from washington dc, studying abroad in Lyon, France
-obsessed with cookies, fruit juice, the video of shemaiah's mom on youtube, and dancing until sunrise
-at the end of the day, all we want is a good laugh

Michael:
-is special, a savant.
-very skinny, you may not see him, just listen out for the hardy laughter
-youtube junkie
-enjoys talking about the "finer" things in life (i.e.drinking wine and making references to obscure literature)

Shirin:
-even skinnier than Michael, but she prefers the term svelte--she's a classy one; though she and Michael argue about who's svelte-ier
-half Persian and student of Arabic
-social activist and member of many progressive organizations

Gabrielle:
-half Costa Rican
-enjoys writing haiku
-loves cappuccino and Amnesty International.
-can't get enough of: mountains, speaking portuguese, the feeling of wearing clean socks, barack obama
dislikes: dirty kitchens, boring people

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

we've all been to europe and done our fair share of hotel/hostel hopping as well as staying with locals. we find that staying with people is a much more enriching and interesting experience both for the hosts and the guests, so we hope to develop more of these kinds of relationships through couchsurfing
