ABOUT ME

After years of pounding the hamster wheel I took a year out and discovered there's more to life than work. Maybe that was my mid-midlife crisis.

My life since then has mainly been travel, travel and more travel. Ok, I've done a little bit of work in between but only enough to pay for more travel.

I'm an easy going bloke and very open-minded. Whenever I'm in the road I'll always have a smile on my face. I swear some people think I'm mad.

My primary reasons for travel: meeting new people, experiencing unusual cultures, eating new foods, freedom, eating new foods, freedom, eating new foods and freedom. There's a pattern emerging.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is about not accepting what someone else forces upon you, it's about making your own decisions. It's about living the way that you want, not the way you're expected. It's about enjoying the little things.
But most of all, it's about having a good time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far my experiences have been nothing short of fantastic. I went to Cebu not really knowing anyone, went to a few CS Cebu events and since then have met a great group of friends.

I was hosted by two wonderful people, Huanan and Lulu, in Shanghai. My first actual surfing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

While I'm on the road I would be willing to pass on my knowledge of web design, graphic design concepts, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML or CSS to anyone geeky enough to want to learn them.

Willing to give people an intro to Balintawak Eskrima (a Filipino stick and knife based martial art), Jeet Kune Do (Bruce Lee's fighting concepts) or Karate (No explanation needed).
