About Me

to live to learn to get lost

Hello to the couchsurfer that is reading this!

// I'm currently staying in Tokyo! Would be studying Japanese and textile design for 4 years. This is one of my favourite cities in the world and I would love to know more about it as I learn Japanese. I would love to meet new friends over coffee or some events!! //

I am a young graphic designer from Singapore. It is really nice to meet you! When I was young, I hardly had much chances to travel around with my family. After I got my first job, I saved my money and started travelling and found so much joy in it. I can't wait to see more of the world.

I love telling jokes, making silly moves to music and flea market hunting. Theres much to know and I am frankly not good at this! So if we ever get to meet up and converse, I hope that I would be able to introduce myself better.

Never stop learning! And recently engraved in my mind from a friend - to "Never lose that feeling".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

If you come down to Singapore or meet me anywhere else, we can share a conversation over good local tea/coffee at a small hawker stall. I can also bring you to the places that are less known by tourists, which in fact personally I find more interesting. If you have any questions about Singapore, I will try to help. I love meeting new people and having a good conversation, and hopefully become good friends along the way!

Singapore is growing in small cafes and little shops around the corners. If you're interested in that, I could recommend you some of my favourite places for coffee.

Brought around many awesome CSers around Singapore! Each and every conversation has been really meaningful and priceless. not to mention, real fun.

Photography, Art, Graphic Design, music, hanging out with good friends.

When it comes to travelling, I tend to check out where the nice small concept shops, design bookshops or cafes are hidden at. Or I would be scouring for things at the flea market. Or just simply walking and discovering things I would never find reviews on on the internet.

Music, Movies, and Books

some of my favourite bands - Band of Horses, Stars, Broken Social Scene, Regina Spektor, Imogen Heap, Fleet foxes, Deerhunter, Gang Gang Dance, The Black Keys, Kings of Convenience —

but it's usually anything and everything that keeps my head bobbing and my feet tapping.

Authors - Jonathan Safran Foer, Douglas Coupland, Haruki Murakami, Nicole Krauss, Chuck Pahlihnuk

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The small little things are always amazing. However, one of the best things I've felt was waking up to a fresh dust of snow on my rooftop and the beautiful view of Mt. Yotei when I was working in Hokkaido.

Teach, Learn, Share

Singlish (Singaporean's version of speaking english)! And I think having a great conversation with someone makes learning and sharing boundless.

oh, i have some good/ bad jokes you can keep if you'd like to listen. Some people just keep it when they think it is bad. Makes a good icebreaker. ;)

If you're interested in heading to Tokyo, I can recommend some of my favourite places to check out!
