Hi friends! I'm Justice, and out going, adventurous girl from Houston, Texas. Currently, I'm studying abroad in Wales and really having the time of my life. I'm enjoying all the sights and new things to see that we just don't have in Houston. I want to make the most of my five months in Europe and I will be taking advantage of every opportunity that comes my way to see interesting places, eat new foods, and meet awesome people!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing because I stayed in a hostel for three days in London and found it to be the most anonymous thing ever! In three days only one person stayed more than a night and most were traveling in groups, so there wasn't really anyone to get to know. I want to make friends while traveling, and traveling solo makes that somewhat different than if you have your best bud next to you 24/7. I want to make new friends, see the city from another perspective, and maybe have someone to send postcards to.

Intereses

I love museums. I know that's sort of an old lady thing to say, but I just love seeing all that history or artistry in one place. Museums offer great lessons and chances to take pictures.

I also love looking for famous sites in movies or books. If I've seen it in a movie, I want pictures of it. It's interesting to see what movie locations look like in real life. I went by the street BBC Sherlock uses as "Baker Street" in London and I was surprised how quiet and almost dead it was. It looked bigger in the show too.

I'm really into sci-fi and fantasy books, but also comedy, Victorian poetry, and literature that explores female places or sexuality.

My favorite movies are basically the whole Marvel Cannon, Midnight in Paris, Tarantino films, and movie musicals.

My favorite music ranges from Lilly Allen to Tchaikovsky, from Missy Higgins to Queen. For some reason I have a weird fascination with seventies pop.

Kissing Ryan Bogart on the cheek when I was four years old to make Anthony Walker jealous. It didn't work, but I still had the guts to do it!

Also, some how getting from Hyde Park to a curry house I heard about on Anthony Bourdain's Layover. I went from Queensway station to Vauxhall only to walk down a creepy street and turn down a weird alley. Dinner was great, despite having next to no sleep. Then I got the bright idea to take a bus to Westminster to see Big Ben. Not really sure how I didn't get murdered that night....

I can teach you to make just about any classic Tex-Mex/Mexican dish (no seafood. I'm not that good), help kids with math homework, and show you how to plan/budget like no one else.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I'm really good with math and I know how to cook authentic enchiladas/tacos/fajitas. I might look like a white girl, but my mother's side of the family are Tejanos, Mexicans who fought on the side of the Republic of Texas in 1836.

I'm also happy to help clean up or make dinner. If you need laundry done in exchange for your couch, I'm your girl.
