About Me

I worked in a corporate job for 10 years, learned a lot of stuff, and I realized I was bored and unfulfilled. So, I started a little translation company - really little, in fact I am the only person who works there - and I am taking my computer and a few clothes to go an travel the world.

While I did learn a lot from working in the corporate world, it really just turned out it wasn't for me. The politics were the biggest obstacle to me, and I hated them, so I figured I would just go and do my own thing. As I am traveling I translate, so wherever I go, I have to have high speed internet to be able to do my translation work and stay in the black.

On a personal note, I am gay - something in which I have neither shame nor pride. However, still, oddly to many people it is important information to disclose. I enjoy humor especially satire and feel everything should be questioned. Additionally, I like to write stories and do research. Currently, I am in the middle of editing two works that I have finished and I am playing with a couple more ideas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Frankly, I am hoping I can meet locals wherever I go so that I can gain a new perspective on people and the world. A friend of mine has told me that couchsurfing is a great place to learn things and have a way to navigate the new countries I'll be in. The only thing I need is high speed internet to do my translation work and someone to help me navigate and explain the culture and way of doing things in a new place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am not really sure what defines amazing. There are many more people who have managed amazing things by taking care of their fellow man, like Harriet Tubman, Oskar Schindler, and such. Anything I have done has not been particularly of note to anyone other than myself, which is quite innocuous to the rest of the world.

In my life, I learned how to take responsibility, that was amazing to me, because I didn't know how to do that for a long time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mostly my spirit, my wit, and kindness. I am also a pretty good cook.
