About Me

Easily excitable runner, studying to be a personal trainer and nutrition coach. I love meeting people and being outside. EDM and hip hop are my fav music but I'll listen to just about anything. Completed a bachelor's in computer science only to discover I couldn't stand the work and had no passion for it so I'm kind of trying to figure myself out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always been confined to a small corner of the globe and have never really branched out and met people and traveled great distances. I dream of some day selling everything I own and going on tour around the world. Couchsurfing is a means to find places to crash and hear people's stories...who wouldn't want to participate in a community where THAT is the main focus?!

Interests

Nutrition, fitness, distance running, biking, hiking, and just being outside. Going out into the night to have fun, drink/dance/etc. I'll always sit down and play some games with friends too if a night out is too much to ask.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Bassnectar, PL, BG, Floozies, Snails, Eminem, Led Zeppelin, idk but I'll listen to just about anything.

Movies - LotR trilogy (grew up a nerd and this was/is my shit!), The Dark Knight, The Departed, Titanic, V for Vendetta, probably a lot more...

Books - Ashamed to say I don't really read at all outside of reddit posts, travel sites, nutrition blogs, etc. Probably should pick up a book again..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would say going to my very first festival at Camp Bisco 2015 was the most amazing experience I've ever had. I met more people in those few days than I'd met all through my college years. Add in the music and the venue being a FUCKING WATER PARK and you've got a recipe for a weekend worth remembering. Also I fed a french fry to a sleeping dude...he definitely needed it

Teach, Learn, Share

While I was working in the comp sci field I ended up very overweight at 230 lbs. I'm happy to share everything I learned about losing weight and feeling confident. It's part of the reason why I want to be a fitness professional and nutrition expert; so I can help people!

If you want to teach me anything - play an instrument, do a dance, write with good grammar, tie a cherry with my tongue, clap like a seal, w/e - I'm down.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always happy to cook/clean/buy someone a drink. I can share what I've learned about food/fitness and my own weight loss. Also I give hugs...hugs are awesome.
