About Me

CURRENT MISSION

You only live one life. I've spent almost all of mine in Georgia, USA, and I have an itch to go explore and see sites and meet people and just...live!

ABOUT ME

I really love listening to people. It is very important to give everyone a chance to say what they really think. My friends tell me I'm very accepting and easy to talk to...I see it as an opportunity to explore the rich menagerie of the human experience.

I'm always exploring new concepts, music, art, culture, and experiences. If I'm scared of it, I want to try it or see it. I'll do just about anything once, and even though I try to stay very responsible, my nature lends me to small acts of spontaneity.

If you are non-judgemental, and you love to explore the world, and like to take it easy and enjoy life, then please, come hang out!

PHILOSOPHY

I grew up by the Golden Rule and still strive to live by that everyday. All of us are different and special in our own way, and it's not any of my business nor anyone else's what you do or how you do it, as long as you're not hurting anyone.

I can talk metaphysical theories forever, but I try to condense my thoughts into easy-to-swallow doses.

Patience is a virtue I hold dear. I have viewed the American life as rushed and premature...if you can control your patience, it will reward you greatly with new opportunities and less fighting...promise!

Also, telling the complete truth is hard sometimes, but so freeing and really releases the baggage from your life. Just be honest! Don't be afraid of what people will think of you!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Rome may not have a lot to offer, but I love to go out every now and then to listen to the local music, have a few brewskies, and then go home and hang out with my eclectic roommate.

We are both pretty busy with school and work at the moment, but downtown is just a few blocks away, and there is always something go on! Also, my friends are just amazing awesome people to hang out with.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a newbie!

Interests

Music - I'm always down for exploring new avenues/genres of music, and jam sessions can be fun to hang around.

Creativity - Love being creative in any way possible - drawing, painting, writing, graphic design...whatever!

Foreign Languages - I can read/write Spanish well and need more practice speaking. I have a very basic understanding of French, but I cannot speak it. I'm always open to learning!

Philosophy and Comparative Politics - call me a dork. It's just fun.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Riding the Superman roller coaster in the front seat. I'm afraid of heights, and that was the only release I could get from the fear...riding roller coasters. The Superman pulls you back into flight position, and you take off. All I saw the whole time was the sky or the ground. I felt like Superman.

Teach, Learn, Share

I play clarinet, a little keyboard (it's been a while), and I'm not afraid to teach!

I'm down for learning anything. Let's exchange skills!
