i operate on a universal grain principle: any grain can be substituted for any other grain in any dish without loss of quality

north carolina sweet potatoes:
skins on
slice 'em up into medallions or crescents
boil for a dozen minutes
drain water into something you won't mind drinking out of - obviously the water is deliciously sweet
serve 'em up with lots of cinnamon, peanut butter, or brazed onions, or, all of the above
and if you have raisins and mixed nuts, throw 'em in too
(and for extra extra zest: dried apricots, figs, and black pepper)

What I Can Share with Hosts
