About Me
I am just a person doing my best to learn, love and be present.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I can't think of a more amazing way to travel the world and meet the lovely people that inhabit it that being invited into their very homes. In my travels I have met many a couchsurfer, and so far they have been stellar folks. Glad to count myself amongst them at long last.
Interests
I absolutely love to cook and share food! On any given occasion I can be found reading, eating, dancing, knitting, doing yoga, foraging for wild medicines and food, and hiking with my dog and husband Jeremy.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music of most genres. My personal favourites are any song that is sung or performed from the heart. I love to dance, especially to world beat and electroswing.
As for books, I'd sooner be able to pick a favourite star in the sky! I devour books. Lately I have been reading a lot of non fiction, but I do love me some fluffy sci fi every now and again.
I also love poetry, particularly that of Kahlil Gibran, e.e. cummings, and Rumi. Swoon!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
What a challenging question! One thing that comes to mind is when I travelled throughout northern India as a young nurse. I worked in a public hospital in Dehradun (on the male orthopedic trauma floor). What I came away with was the resilience of the families I cared for despite the shocking conditions and traumatic situations they encountered. It opened my eyes to the simple blessings we have as humans, such as food, touch and love.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to believe I am a very authentic, compassionate and interesting person. I am tidy, open-hearted & minded and a good cook to boot. By inviting me into your home, I will be sure to respect the space and return the hospitality with food, conversation and a good bottle of wine!
