ABOUT ME

After stumbling around a few countries over the globe, I ended up on the beautiful, yet overcrowded island of Malta.
Although I am a very inexperienced sailor, the sea keeps calling my away.

I started about 10 years ago now (fuck, I'm old!), studying and working abroad. Europe started to become my playground. Later on, I decided to change life and eventually left France for good.
I ended up in Australia living in a station wagon for one year, soon moving to mysterious SEA.
It broaden my horizons so much that would never be able to go back. After another year of travelling, the old lady Europe called me back for a while. I travelled around a bit more but am eager to go backpacking again.

I love to laugh and make people laugh, learning from others experiences and try to become a better person everyday. I am really determinate and open minded ( and talkative but still I love to listen to other people stories ^^).
As a traveler, I prefer to live the "real" people life than going to hotels and to discover treasures wherever I go.
As an host (which is not possible now..) I would love to show you around if I can and make you discover French cooking!

I always was really lucky concerning my hosts but that's also because I really choose carefully the people I send a request to. If I feel a connection, I'll do my best to make you feel the same ^^.
I never host anyone from CS but as soon as I get a place, I hope I'll be able to start!

Interests

I'm interested in everything!
More than the rest, I love manga (animes and books), I've been practicing taekwondo and viet vo dao for now 6 years and I'm learning Japanese.
When I can, I like to spend time with my friends and family, to have a glass of wine or a beer (or two or three ^^), cooking, hiking, partying, scuba diving and of course to meet new people and discover new countries and cultures.
What is new always has an interest for me ^^.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled hanging at the back of the Lisboa tramway like in old movies.
I scuba dived in the great barrier reef.
I slept in the biggest national park of Australia while it was snowing.
I was blocked back a storm in the middle of the Australian bush.
I slept in a Buddhist temple in the mountains in Myanmar.
I manage to get through a desertic area with a fuel tank almost empty.
I spent 24 hours in a train chatting with locals.
I slept in a Mong village, lost in the jungle with people whom never saw white people before in there life.
I hitchhiked in the middle of the Vietnamese countryside.
I climbed a waterfall to get to a pool.
I taught English to Cambodian kids at public school.
I visited port Manuel at night.
I shot a movie in Ethiopia with a german team.
I got high in the king's bath of Shashamane.
I invented a card game.
I survived a storm on a broken ship in the Netherlands.
I climbed a crane on Malta.
This is a good exercise to remember the extraordinary experiences you had ^^.
