About Me

(Disclaimer: "fluent" in German is a bit of a stretch!)

I'm originally from Indiana, did my undergrad in Texas and Pittsburgh, and originally moved to California the first time for grad school at UC Irvine. (Back the. I was doing a joint JD/PhD in law and philosophy.)

These days, I'm getting ready to start grad school yet again. This time around, I'll be doing a Masters in Financial Engineering at USC.

So now, after spending the past year back home in Indiana and traveling all throughout the US, I recently came back to SoCal to get myself all situated and what-not.

Also: I'm a teacher/tutor, primarily for the GMAT, GRE, and LSAT exams, but also for various other math, finance, and MBA classes . So —invariably! — I end up racking up tons of mileage driving all throughout the LA/OC area to meet with my students and clients.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just moved back to the LA/OC area, and I have to wait a week or two before I can move into my sublet.

Also, I don't know how widespread "Verification" is on this app. I just joined so I haven't done that yet, but I'm happy to "verify" who I am and my (relative) sanity through FB or various other means that don't cost $20 🤓
