See as much of the world as I can before I get chained to a desk!!!

My girlfriend and I rode our bicycles across Japan for two months, worked in Osaka, then rode along the Mediterranean in Spain. Now, we're hitchhiking across Europe!

ABOUT ME

I lived the first 22 years of my life following all the rules, doing everything the way I was told I should, gearing up for a life I was told to want.

Eventually, I realized I was on the wrong track. I graduated uni, and skipped town immediately to SE Asia. I've spent the last few years teaching English in Cambodia, Thailand, and Taiwan, as well as a little travelling around the region. In August 2018, my girlfriend and I with our jobs, and flew to Japan to begin our adventure!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The biggest thing I've learned travelling is that people are people everywhere, no matter what the media wants us to believe. I love making the world more personal by meeting people from all over, and I like to find out the little differences we use to draw the lines between our tribes.

Interests

Long motorbike rides, nature adventures, swimming, and long bicycle rides. Anything I haven't done before! I love to cook and bake. I've been to the top of Snow Mountain, and hitchhiker around the island last year.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books
I love Sci-fi no matter how little love it gets! The classics from Asimov, Heinlein, Herbert, and Adams, as well as any new space operas that cross my kindle. My favorite book is probably still Brave New World, and pairs well with Fahrenheit 451.

TV Shows
We have Netflix in Taiwan now, so we spend weeks binging new shows with dinner every night. House, Black Sails, Luke Cage, Game of Thrones, and Rick and Morty so far, and always looking for recommendations!

Music
I have my dad's love of rock and metal music, and also love pop-punk and some hardcore. Four Year Strong, While She Sleeps, Bring Me the Horizon, The Story So Far, Blink 182, Awolnation, Issues, Neck Deep, Real Friends..... And Listener and Scroobius Pip as offbeat picks.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach English by day, and could be talked into cooking or baking with you! I love to learn new foods and hear stories about all the places I've yet to reach (It's a big world!) I'm happy to share whatever local knowledge I can, and can give you some advice for this beautiful island I call home.
