ABOUT ME

I am a pretty quiet and weird guy... I like to take long walks and get lost. Reading, writing, nature, hiking, swimming, water, and enjoying a nice breeze are the great loves of my life.

It has taken a while, but I have finally found what I am supposed to do for at least part of my life, helping people heal. I love my job and I love having a positive impact on people's lives.

PHILOSOPHY

I have so many philosophies, most of them come from Mohandas Gandhi. I am a strong believer in ahisma; I feel we should respect everyone and the world would be better off we tried to understand our enemies before we bomb them.

Right now, I would say I live my life to experience love, appreciate beauty, and value truth. I am very bohemian in that sense. My purpose in life is to help others and I think I do a great job at that right now.

I honestly just found out about this community through someone on LiveJournal. I would like to help people become connected and provide a couch/floor/bed/chair/what have you.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I Know This Much Is True; She's Come Undone, almost anything by David Sedaris that I have read; Good Omens (a very slimmed down list for all the books I enjoy).

Movies: Love Actually; Pride and Prejudice (2005); Death at a Funeral

Music: Mostly New Age and Contemporary Instrumental, throw in some folk and pop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fallen in love (I would like it to happen again). So cliche, but so true.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am pretty well educated on the influences of HIV transmission and progression to AIDS.

I know plenty of books and can talk about them for hours.

I am pretty skilled and insightful regarding people and their behavior.

I am not sure how useful this information is outside of Ohio, but I know a lot of plants and "weeds" that are helpful anti-histamines and other fun medicinal purposes.
