About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get a head start on my bucket list. :)

ABOUT ME

Male, 22ish years old, brown hair, brown eyes, and friendly :)

I study physics, play guitar, love music, like being active (i.e. hiking, surfing, skiing, etc.), and enjoy learning languages.

There are a lot of things on my bucket list, but the most prominent item in my mind is spending two weeks in a Buddhist retreat. I'd really like to experience that.

PHILOSOPHY

I think Carl Sagan describes it pretty well. He describes a deeper meaning of the photograph of Earth taken by the Voyager 1 spacecraft as it left the solar system in 1990.

So, if you're interested, his description is here:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never done couch surfing through a website, but I have a few experiences staying on couches. I always find them comfy.

When I lived in San Francisco, my landlord and landlady met each other through couchsurfing, and now they're a happy couple. They hosted people on occasion, so that's how I first heard of couchsurfing.

Interests

I love experiencing things that give me a new, insightful perspective. The weirdness and uniqueness of the natural world has always been intriguing to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy most music, from Spanish guitar, to hard rock, to classical symphonic music, to techno and drum and bass, it's all amazing.

If I had to narrow it down, though, Tool would be my favorite group (they're a kind of progressive/alternative rock).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While I was jogging once, I got hit by a car going around 50 km/h. It was one of the greatest mental shocks I've ever experienced.

Seeing Jupiter through a telescope when I was a kid put things into perspective for me.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Italy, Malta, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, United States
