Hi, I’m Uyen, 24 years old. I was born and grew up in Vietnam. I majored in English study in university. After 2 years of working as an English teaching assistant in an international school in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, I decided to take a big step by joining the Au pair program in the United States, in which I would travel here alone, live with a host family and take care of their children. In exchange, I will get the opportunity to travel and explore the US and learn about American lifestyle. I’ve been in the US for almost 3 months now.
I’m a simple person who loves life’s simple pleasure! Some of my key words: sunrise, summer, the beach, ice-cream, hiking, swimming, ukulele, photography, drawing,...
I value inner peace and simplicity! I love meeting new people and learning from them!

Traveling and exploring places, learning about cultural differences is my great passion! I’m trying my best to make the most of my Au pair experience in the US. However, with Au pair‘s limited stipend, I always have to travel on budget! Finding a place to stay on couchsurfing would be a really great help for me!

Music: I listen to most kinds of music and I think all music is good!

Movies: there’re so many great movies that I love. Forrest Gump, Three idiots, One day, Call me by your name, Her, a brilliant young mind,...These are some of my favorite movies!

Books: my most favorite book is The little prince! I’ve read it three times and will read it again. I also enjoy reading classics like Wuthering heights, Gone with the wind, Pride and prejudice, Norwegian wood.
