About Me

I love meeting strangers on sidewalks, meeting my lovers in new cities, and perpetually finding myself again.

I'm a queer activist, feminist, sexologist, educator, and writer. I'm really good at discovering all the alleys to explore, making lists, tasting everything, growing so many green plant babes, and falling in love. Rhythm isn't my forte, but that doesn't stop me from dancing.

My partner, Frankie, and I live in a small witchy nook in Washington, DC (near Eastern Market) with our cat mimi, the spirit of our pup beans, and lots of plant babes.

As Audre Lorde said, "It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My mom first told me about couchsurfing when I was about 15. Her friend had an airstream stationed in his backyard, and he hosted couchsurfers regularly. I was intrigued, and it felt so romantic. Shortly before moving to Firenze to study abroad, I joined couchsurfing.

I love traveling, talking to new people, and sharing experiences. Explore new cultures and ideas is a passion of mine, and I believe that it is so important to build community and make connections across this vast globe.

My first couchsurfing experience in Barcelona with Hector and Lidia was the most amazing. I was smitten with their collections of vinyls and books. Hector even took the day off to show my friend and I the Barcelo exhibit and Lidia came home early from work to cook us a typical Catalan lunch. Almost 10 years later, Hector and Lidia visited me in Washington, DC, and came to a big cookout that my partner and I hosted.
