ABOUT ME

I'm a small, happy Asian girl, who loves to laugh. I'm from Michigan and am now spending a year in Germany, teaching English and learning German!

PHILOSOPHY

I don't think I can sum this up into one sentence, but there are a few things I believe in. I think there's good in everyone, we just need to know where to look. I try to make the best out of every situation, and have been trying to soak in every part of my experiences. Always, laughter makes everything better. Being happy is definitely better than any alternative. If you put your best into anything you do, you will come out successful.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now, I don't have a couch for anyone to surf, so I'm just looking to try out couch surfing and have a great time! When I get back home, I'd love to host anyone who happens to be in the area!

There's a first time for everything! I've just started and am excited to try it all out!

兴趣

I love to learn about anything new, especially when whoever is teaching loves what he or she does. I especially love music, and play the piano and violin. I study developmental psychology, focusing in language development; so basically, babies. In my free time, I love to read, hang out with friends, go out, and waste obscene amounts of time on facebook. Recently, I've started cooking, which has been quite an experience!

Movies don't really stick with me well. I pretty much haven't met a movie I didn't enjoy, and love all the ones that people typically love.

Music: typical pop songs, and classical music. LOVE Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Mahler, Sibelius Violin Concerto, Grieg Piano Concerto, Schumann Piano Concerto, and so many others.

I can't even begin to list all the books I love. Pride and Prejudice, Fahrenheit 451, His Dark Materials, Jane Eyre, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Jodi Picoult books...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Once, I climbed up some old castle ruins in the middle of the night in a small town in southern Germany. It was just a small group of friends, and we just sat and talked, watching the stars and drinking champagne.

I love teaching and learning, no matter the topic. I studied developmental psychology, so I do enjoy nerding out about that. I play piano, violin, and harp, and can play Hey There, Delilah on the guitar. I love talking and debating about pretty much anything :)
