ABOUT ME

Born in Melbourne, Australia and lived there until a year ago when I came travelling with my best friend. For the last 6 months we have been living, working and snowboarding in Rossland, BC. It's almost a year since leaving home and I'm learning a lot about myself and what is important to me.

I'm really passionate about the ocean. Most of my interests revolve around being in or on the water. I have been racing small sailing boats since I was 13, taught myself to windsurf a couple of years ago and I recently I have taken to surfing... So simple yet so satisfying!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It's so hard to describe myself... When I was living in Melbourne I worked as a robotics engineer at a manufacturing company specializing in military, rail and renewable energy. There were lots of things I was interested in - including playing guitar, sailing, surfing, getting my hang gliding license, electronics and many others things but I have to say now that I'm travelling with very little material items I'm much happier.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has made my travel experience so much more meaningful and interesting! There is really no other way to see a country and meet its people.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I think that it's really amazing that my best friend and I sold everything (cars, boat, household items, lots of clothes and sporting equipment) and left on a trip within no certain path, no secure home or jobs. It was quite scary but I would do it all again in a heartbeat!
