These sections always through me. I am 29 years old. I have lived and traveled. Loved and lost. I feel I have a good assortment of life experiences to give me a picture of the world we live in today. Traveling is getting more expensive while people search for an "authentic" experience where ever they roam.

I am from the east coast. Upstate New York to be more exact. After graduation from my undergraduate work I fell about the country looking for work and a place to call home. Portland has been good to me so far. I have lived here going on 5 years now. I do not know if this is my final destination but as long as I am here you are welcome to come stay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I mentioned in the about me; Travelling is getting more expensive. I have never had an issue sleeping on a couch as the majority of my friends know. This saves money as long as allowing for interactions you would never get at a hotel or motel. Some of my favorite experiences while traveling are from staying with family friends and native citizens of my destinations.

If the concept of sleeping at someones house in a bed, on a couch, or wherever there is floor space does not bother you then sharing the space I have will never bother me. I would love to help make your travel experience the best it could be.

Interests

I would like to think I am well rounded with a good amount of interests to help me relate and converse with many different people. Weather that thought is true or my wishful thinking.... that remains to be seen.

By far my number one passion is skiing. Downhill skiing to be specific. Though I do enjoy Nordic skiing and I love to test my skills at water skiing; I was raised on the mountain.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have worked on an archaeological dig in the rift valley searching for evidence of early hominid evolution. This was a blast and a point in my life that I ponder about at times.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I was taught to never show up empty handed. I was also taught to show appreciation and help wherever needed or asked to. I will keep my space clean.
