ABOUT ME

Our house is full of tea, books, random people, and dog hair. Derek has a math degree, and Katie is studying to become an RN.

Our dogs are large and very invasive. Harley will want to be your new best friend, Enzo is a rescue dog who is skittish around new people, so he will bark at you until he decides you're all right. If you like and understand dogs, they're pretty cool; however, if you don't like or are afraid of dogs, they will probably drive you insane, so you should rethink asking to stay with us.

We drink obscene amounts of tea, enjoy cooking mysterious foods, and read voraciously. We have an archery range in the backyard we use a lot. Derek also does math for fun.

The Nahanni River in Northern Canada is the most beautiful place Katie's ever been, and Derek's favourite vacation so far has been to Hawaii.

Did you know that Western Canada has the proud (and useless) legacy of its towns sporting the "world's largest" somethings? We claim to have the world's largest Ukrainian Easter egg, Mallard Duck, golf tee, even beaver. At one time, we even had the world's largest mall. Medicine Hat is the current home of the world's largest teepee. It has no purpose.
