About Me

CURRENT MISSION

freedom

ABOUT ME

A wanna-be free soul. I think I'm more open-minded about the cultural diversity than most of the Koreans would. I am the kind of person who always want to know, see, do, and learn. I think I can say I'm full of passion.. I'm always ready to learn from my experiences and other's experiences and be a better person.
I'm also very hearty(?) I care about my friends a lot, and I think making a good relationship with whoever I meet, is important.
Though I have spent most of my life in Korea, I've been to a university in United States (University of Chicago) and spent a semester there, and my English is better than other Koreans. I also have friends from many countries--US, China, Japan.. I've participated in workcamp four years ago (I still keep in touch with some of the friends through facebook) and here in Korea I made some international friends in school. My school dormitory let students to share our room with international friends, and I have shared my room with two international friends until now, a semester each.

PHILOSOPHY

I think living life with passion is better than being too deliberative about making choices in life and do nothing. If I try, though sometimes it would result in nothing and I would get hurt in the way. For example, when I have a chance to do a part-time job, I just do even if I don't earn a lot of money. I have worked in a variety of workplaces because I always wanted to try something new. I have also travelled a lot of places, and have read a lot of books, participated in contests. I believe that if I try something, I would definitely learn from that, whatever it is. Therefore, I always try to do something rather than just staying at home and doing nothing. But recently, sometimes, I think taking enough rest is also important.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I found an article about CS2 in newspaper, and became interested in this project.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to Europe once, and I've Couchsurfed in Edinburgh, Scotland in Andy Blair's' house. He was a nice host (this was my first time and because we were too young, we acted only by ourselves that I feel sorry for my host. However, when I'm not with my friends and alone, I usually love to talk with people) Though not through couchsurfing, I've hosted my Chinese friends and American friends, each, at my house before.

Music, Movies, and Books

sweet romance movies.. I am vociferous about books that I like any kinds. I'm interested in economics and politics(the world is flat, Adam Smith's classics, and such..) and on the other hand I like romance novels and essays. I especially like travel essays.--Viya Han's travel essays sparked my passion about traveling. Recently, The Art of Travel. Murakami Haruki's novels.
I love club music:D Techno..huh?
