Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience everything this world has to offer and travel to as many places as possible!
ABOUT ME
Traveling as a Biology field assistant, currently in Australia. I completed my undergrad studies about a year ago (time flies so fast) and have since lived in the American Midwest doing wildlife surveys and then shipped off Down Under to do some behavioral ecology/evolution work. Currently exploring my options for the future and know I want to work in conservation outreach and education. For now just focusing on expanding my horizons and seeing this crazy planet!
PHILOSOPHY
Listen, observe, learn. Be compassionate and understanding. Try not to judge others. Do the least damage possible and improve whatever you can. Always leave a place better than you left it. Strive to challenge yourself and others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My favorite Couchsurfing experience (although not through this site) was by far staying in Nashville, TN. I got to hear locals experiences of the towns and some tips on where to find delicious food and brews. We also had a taco night where we shared our experiences and just generally relaxed.
Interests
Art, mythology, anthropology, cinema, hiking, kayaking, exploring nature, cooking, baking, enthusiastic dancing, learning about the world around me, random trivia, biology, reasons for behavior and ritual (in humans or other animals), body surfing, surfing (albeit not very well at this point)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Roadtripped to Austin, TX and stumbled upon a group of Tibetan monks created mandelas out of sand in the art museum along with various scrolls and talismans.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm pretty skilled at baking (more advanced) and cooking (intermediate). If I have a recipe I can do some real damage, unless there's frying involved. That is one thing I fail pretty miserably at.
I am a skilled handy person and can do home renovations/building, save for electrical and plumbing work. I've acted as a theatre tech before so lots of set building and painting. Decent at creating props or sketching out a drawing or two.
Also keen to discuss African religions, their crossover with Christianity, and how they evolved as a result of being brought to the New World via Triangle Trade; Buddhism(s) and the various conceptions of reality and grassroots political movements created from it; Christianity and basic theological arguments and interesting historical context of Bible; evolution and ecology, sexual selection, conservation techniques, and various interesting life history snippets from different species.
Would love to learn how to surf better, and just learn about people's stories and experiences!
