I’m not a big fan of Vancouver's rainy winters so I spend a lot of time travelling as a digital nomad. I love to build online businesses and out of my travels was born my latest company Sacred Treks where we work with sacred teachers and hiking guides around the world to sell wild trekking pilgrimages.

When I travel I like to meet real locals with interesting lifestyles and perspectives on life, which is why I love Couchsurfer! I've been hosting for years and I love meeting locals everywhere I go to get a real perspective on the culture and traditions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting locals in my travels on Couchsurfer and hearing their stories and getting a deeper understanding and experience of their unique culture and what it's like to live as a local in places I travel to.

I never want to be a normal tourist who just stays in hotels, watches TV and gets room service.

Interests

I love to hike to awe-inspiring places, explore ancient civilizations, meditate in the forest, climb mountaintops, fly my drone in the backcountry, learn about indigenous traditions and unplug occasionally for a few days to do a nature retreat without my phone. When at home I like backcountry camping, skiing, mountain biking, surfing, foraging and climbing mountains.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I launched a fitness app called Fitplan for iPhone and Android that's been downloaded over 3 million times and was acquired before I got out of the tech startup game and got more into nature immersion and animism.

I'm a strong believer in self-education. I've run my own online businesses since I was in high school so I know a lot about digital marketing, online ads, selling events, brand storytelling, joint ventures and that kind of thing. Always happy to teach, share and connect people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know a lot about flora, fauna and fungi. I can help you identify plants and mushrooms and teach you forms of nondual mindfulness you can do walking in the forest to feel connected to everything breathing in the forest.

I love to fly my drone everywhere you go so if flying off your balcony or backyard works, I can showcase the natural area where you live from 500 feet in the sky as a memento for you.
