About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'd like to step out to my comfort zone, meet new people and travel.

ABOUT ME

Hello, as you've already seen my name is Gabriele, I'm from north of Italy, so north that I'm in the border with Switzerland, just like Castle Black of Game of Thrones (just kidding).
In july (2015) I graduated in communication in Milan and had the opportunity to attend an internship, which helped me to understand what I'd like to do in the future and also discover the love for art.
After my internship I decided to travel to UK and I planned to stay in Bristol as an opportunity to meet new people and live in a different country for some months.
I'm an open-minded person and I do really like meeting new people, but because of my shyness sometimes I don't really know how to face some people and I look like full of myself. (introvert problems :P )

PHILOSOPHY

There will always be obstacles on your journey to reach your goals. Sometimes you have to conquer them, and sometimes you have to accept them.
At times, the journey is the true learning experience and "the climb" to reach your goal is what shapes you forever.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I use CS because it's an amazing way to meet new people, traveling and always know that you have potential friends all around the world.

My first time with couchsurfing was in Poland, where I had the chance to meet two local girls, who brought me to visit part of the city which I'd have never seen on my own !!

I've also written my Bachelor thesis about CS as a social network and a moral economy.
I've also used couchsurfing to make a little research for my thesis about CS.

Interests

PHOTOGRAPHY: I just love taking pictures and I'm always ready to learn something new about this subject.
TRAVELING:(of course)I'd really go everywhere, the important thing is not to stay at the Hotel but GO OUT and MEET people to discover the culture and maybe get lost; I'm also really into SOCIOLOGY so I like studying different routines and behaviors.
COOKING:I love reading all-world recipes and cook them, I'd also love to cook some italian recipes for my hosts or guests. Now I'm also really into vegetarian recipes.
NATURE
ARCHITECTURE & ARTS: when I visit a new city I'm always with my head up staring at all the different buildings.

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES: I can't really make a list, I like Tarantino's movies and lately I've enjoined watching "Dallas Buyers Club","The secret life of Walter Mitty" "Rocky Horror Picture Show".
I'm also into tv series such as "Game of Thrones", "American Horror Story" and comedy shows.
BOOKS: "Notas de viaje,Ernesto Guevara", "the perks of being a wallflower" and "vagabonding"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know how much incredible it could be but I get lost very easily. Don't know what's wrong with my orientation but it's a chance to discover new places.

I left Italy with a single ticket to Bristol and 5 days at hostel booked, with the main purpose to be able to find a room and a job. I need to say that I've been helped a lot by some amazing people!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you cooking italian food.
I love talking with people and listening to their experiences.
I can teach you a bit of Italian or something about my culture or places I've been if you are interested.
I'd like to improve my english.
I'd like to learn to play guitar and use photoshop/Indesign etc.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey
