This is Kacem Abidi, new to the CS community.
I’m a person who loves to travel a lot. Since I was a child I’ve always thought about how my first flight would be and where to. It eventually happened and it was the happiest moment of my entire life. That child inside of me was so proud !!!! I think a 20 hours first trip was enough to reflect back to what I always dreamt about. I hopped on my first flight ever on August 22nd, 2023, heading to the US. Now I’m an exchange student at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia.
People always say that I laugh a lot, but I’ve never really thought about it seriously until I was looking outside of my seat window miles above the earth surface, looking like a jerk in the middle of the night smiling next to an 80 yo lady who I think hates me a lot till this moment as she was tryna get some sleep. I mean I tried to talk to her but she wasn’t in the mood to do so XD.
I’m a person of a few words, only for the first few minutes we meet each other. I love to talk to people, get to know more about them, about their backgrounds, perspectives, and ways of seeing the world. I adore talking about different topics ranging from Politics to Pineapples on Pizza.
Pizzas aside, my number one hobby is cooking. I love preparing my own dishes, sharing food with people and of course getting compliments for what I served, no matter how good or bad it was haha.
I’m so excited to join such a wonderful community and get to widen my network and knowledge.

My top favorite type of music would definitely be techno and house music mixed with some Afro beats !
Second on the list I would say Pop and Classic American rock.
Of course not forgetting about romantic middle eastern music from the 90’s and 20’s … It is the best.

2- Prison Break
3- Breaking Bad

I would love to meet up with italian speakers, I wanna practice what I’ve been learning for the past 2 years. It is not that much honestly, but enough to say I’m a beginner in Italian.
I’m also super interested in helping people learn Arabic. I’ve never thought this would be something that I would like, yet a month ago, an American friend of mine asked me to teach him some Arabic and that was so cool as I saw how interested and committed he was and how beautiful Arabic actually is.
