My name is Kay and I am new to Couchsurfing! I have quit my full time job and decided to embark on a euro trip for a year. I was lucky to still be able to work partially as an online reputation consultant so I am free to travel wherever the wind takes me. I love adventures and getting lost through exploring. Sunflowers are my favorite and I am obsessed with polka dots.

This trip is not an Eat.Pray.Love story. I’ve just always loved being around people and experiencing the different cultures that most are too afraid to get to know. I’m hoping to learn from those I meet as well possibly teaching others about my own culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I quit my job and although I have saved as much as I could I don’t want my trip to be cut short because I didn’t factor in enough for accommodations and travel but I figured this would be a cool way to meet people as a solo traveler. Hostels are great but can be overwhelming.

I love all music. Anything with a great beat and rhythm I can enjoy. If I had to pick a favorite it would have to be country music. I live for a good dramatic love story but comedy is my second favorite.

I quit my job and sold all my belongings to travel.

Skydived on my 30th birthday.

Completed my first half marathon.
