Overview
About Me
I recently graduated in May of 2014 from University.
I've lived in St. Louis all my life. Thus, I've found a few good nooks and crannies. I've lived in the same house since the age of three. I like sweets, probably more than I should. Rainy nights are the best to curl up with a good book and some tea. If mother nature would let fall be year-round that would be amazingly awesome. I'm not very good at swimming, but I can ride horses. Although, ummm I'm kinda clumsy, so don't mind me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am very much looking forward to being a well traveled and culturally exposed individual. Plus, I like meeting new people and hearing the stories they have to tell.
Interests
None of these are in any particular order... it is usually whatever suits my fancy at the given moment. I myself am kind of a collector of hobbies.
-Cooking/Eating: I absolutely love to cook and try new foods. I also enjoy adding to my kitchen tome (my recipe collection is really that big).
-Reading: My basement is practically a library ranging from poetry to manga.
-Writing: Mostly essays, although I wish I was better at creative writing.
-Tabletop RPGs and card games: I've played DnD and Dark Heresy.haven't had experience as a DM yet. I play yugi-oh and Magic.
-Anime/Manga: have loved it since my first encounter with Sailormoon when I was ten years old. watching or drawing, I'm a definite otaku.
-Arts and Crafts: crochet, cross stitch, sewing, sketching, painting...the list goes on. If it is artsy and crafty, I probably like it or would like to learn. :D

Music, Movies, and Books
My choice in music is rather eclectic. I like just about everything from Adam and the Ants to The Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
As for films it is awfully hard to pick a favorite...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was a volunteer archaeologist in Ireland in 2008. In between afternoon tea, torrential downpours and unexpected cow invasions ( We worked in a pasture and the cattle fences didn't always work), I was involved in a variety of jobs from excavating to drawing out grids to record findings.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can offer English and some French conversation. I'm always up for group sketch outings as well as show guests some cool art tricks and animation techniques.
I would absolutely love to improve my Japanese. I always love to learn new recipes, and would very much like to learn how to knit.
What I Can Share with Hosts
English and french Conversation. If permitted I always like to cook as a thank you during visits. If there is something i know how to do and you are interested in learning feel free to ask me.
