Plenty of books of various different fields. Here are some of the ones that come to mind, that I really liked:
The Alchemist, Siddhartha, Shantaram, The God of small things, Girl-Child who man (L. Mathabela), 100 years of solitude, the social construction of reality... when it comes to music, I have a hard time to deacribe my taste, because it is all over the place, but one name has to be mentioned in my opinion: Alt-j!
