Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

To do good and experience the whole wide world!

ABOUT ME

What you read in my profile is a small portion of what I am but here are a few pointers for those who want to host me:
I don't drink or smoke (well, maybe just a sip of your finest wine).
I don't snore (unless I'm really, really, really tired).
I don't brag (but I'll definitely brag about how great you are if ever you'll be my host!).
There always seem to be tears in my eyes - I cry when I'm sad =( and also when I'm happy =)

If this is not enough, don't worry 'cause when you meet me, you'll get to know more of who I am!

PHILOSOPHY

Everything happens for a purpose.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

No couch or floorspace as of the moment but hopefully in the future, I can host you, my member couchsurfers and give you a decent and supercomfy sleeping quarters. Hmmm, maybe I should change my mission...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Previous: Slept on the floor in the huts of a few indigenous peoples in the Philippines; on a wooden "bed" in a farmer's house; on a mat, chair, bench and table at the office; on big, small, hard, soft, squeaky clean, dusty beds at my relatives' and friends' houses; on the library sofa at my future aunt & uncle-in-law's huge condo unit; and at my landlord's apartment where I currently live!

Recent: My first CS experience in Indonesia - terrific hosts, incredible goodness, amazing adventure!

Intereses

eating halo-halo (fruits and beans in shaved ice with milk, sugar and ice cream!), swimming with friendly sea creatures, taking lots of pictures on trips (so I get to have at least one good shot, hahaha!), surfing the net for bargain airfares, watching well-made movies, traveling, reading bestseller books when i have the time, and singing when my husband's not within earshot :)

and traveling of course!

Algo increíble que he hecho

Amazing Encounters:

IFUGAO, KALINGA PEOPLE, RICE TERRACES, RIVERS AND MOUNTAINS -

Banaue Rice Terraces and the Ifugao people

Cordillera Mountain Ranges (I cried when I saw the breathtaking view - the breadth, the length, its terraces, and the rivers that run through them. Wow!)

Planting rice with the Kalinga women in on one of their small rice terraces; tried to plow the land with a carabao but the carabao wouldn't budge (yes, that is amazing!)

Chico River. Braved crossing it at night with Austrian friends through a terrifyingly long wooden hanging bridge with missing planks. And the sound of raging waters didn't help! But come morning, the river was truly spectacular!

ANIMALS -

Hundreds of dolphins swimming in Bohol and a few of them diving in and out of the waters alongside our dinghy. I let my foot dangle in the water as we sped on towards the shore, hoping one of them bump my leg. I didn't get the desired result but my Korean friend did get sprayed seawater because of my foolishness. Woohooo!...ooops!

Fed from my hand the wild lorries/parrots that frequent the tree where I lived in Sydney. Awesome!

Was served tadpoles in soup. Nice!

AMAZING THINGS STILL TO SEE:

All other peoples, all other cultures, all other creatures, all other lands!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Filipino culture and our quirks; other cultures and their quirks. Can't wait!
