Overview
About Me
I was born in Semey in Kazakhstan but moved to the capital city - Astana at a very young age. Currently, I am getting my bachelor's degree in Earth and Climate Sciences at the University of Maine in the United States. I am more into glaciers and would love to see them in real life. When I have free time I love to play soccer, play my electric guitar, and hike. So far, I have visited 20 countries and would love to visit more and learn about different cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I am in my hometown, Astana I would love to share a couch with people from different countries to meet more international friends and show them the city. I also like to travel, and I want to have lots of international friends to learn about cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to English, Kazakh, and Russian music, and the genre varies from metal to classical and ambient music. My favorite band is Muse and I went to their concert in Philadelphia in 2023.
I love Christopher Nolan's movies for their exciting plot twists and beauty. Probably, one of the most favorite movies would be Interstellar for its beauty and meaning. One more reason is that I love astronomy, and this is one of the most scientifically accurate movies about space.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I decided to study abroad and at the age of 17 moved to the United States, where I am studying right now. It was my first big decision in my life and it was the best one at the same time. Here, in Maine, I am living in the beautiful state, and getting to know interesting and very intelligent people. Also, this environment of living in another country makes you grow as a person a lot.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: cooking some Kazakh dishes (although I'm pretty horrible at it), living in Maine, studying abroad, Kazakh culture, Anything about the environment, climate, glaciers, and Earth in general.
Learn: I would love to learn more languages, but most importantly I want to learn about the traditions and lifestyles of people from different cultural backgrounds.
What I Can Share with Hosts
With hosts, I can share the laughter, experience, and knowledge of the culture of Kazakhstan. I would love to teach them a couple of words in my language or learn some of their language. I can make people get to know Kazakhstan from different sides like nature, architecture, culture, and people's lifestyle. I think that this is one of the most important things in life - learning about different cultures. I am not an experienced cook, but I can definitely try to teach to cook some Kazakh national dishes.
