My husband and I have been living in new Orleans almost 3 years now, we love the wealth of culture here. We are mostly home bodies but enjoy hanging out with close friends and finding great hole in the wall spots to grab a drink or go out to eat. We like to live simply, just find museums, read, drink our coffee, play our video games, & meet awesome people. We aspire to travel as much as possible in the next few years, as much as his railroad career will allow, that is. In the mean time, we love hearing about others' adventures & finding our own right here in New Orleans. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm intrigued by the way this community is able to connecot people across the world & in their own back yard, and how you are able to gain meaningful connections in otherwise foreign environments. I hope to be able to use that service as we travel more in the future, for now, I'm just enjoying the ability to connect with people in my own community I would otherwise never meet!

classic lit- Charles Dickens, Mary Shelley, Confederacy of Dunces . I also love reading plays- George Bernard Shaw and Tennessee Williams are my favorites there. I love Sinatra, Sachmo, Rosemary Clooney, & Bob Dylan, also Florence & the machine, Regina Specter, tallest man on earth, slow club, Avert Brothers, Thau Nguyen, Kimbra, Churches, & The X x to name a few. Roman Holiday is an altime favorite, How to Steal a Million & Charade are up there too. I really enjoy anything by Wes Anderson. I also love documentaries. Food inc, Bag It, Forks over Knives, Terms and Conditions may apply, Wonders of the Universe, things that really educate you & open your eyes, good stuff.
