Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel throughout Europe and enjoy my gap year!
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Texas, and I LOVE being from there. But I'm definitely not your stereotypical Texan! I love traveling to new places (like every Couch Surfer right?), but more than anything I really love learning. I like trying new things, experiences, places, and meeting new people because it involves learning about something new and different!
I love to debate, hear people´s opinions, and to generally find out what makes them tick. I love to laugh, listen to music, and take long rambling walks where I usually get lost. As I am currently very far from home, I´m discovering new things about myself all the time! I have a quirky sense of humor that some find hilarious, others think strange.
PHILOSOPHY
I have a kind of laissez-faire/Libertarian view to people and life - to each his own. I have my own ideas about how I would like to live my life, but I don´t judge others by my standards. I´m not religious, but I respect people who are, especially those who are religious and tolerant.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can´t imagine many people want to travel to Pontevedra, but if you do, I would love to meet you! I´d also like to use Coachsurfing to meet and stay with people around Europe as I travel.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed in Paris for four nights for the first time - it was a great experience!
Interests
I´m an avid bookworm, who loves to read a wide variety of books - from biographies, to history, to current events, to sports, to trashy romance novels! I´ve recently discovered an addition to Project Free TV and spend way too much time watching tv shows that I´m too embarassed to list. I´m currently an English language assistant in Spain, a kind of ¨gap year¨ in between university and law school. I´m here to travel, to explore, to be young! My favorite thing to do in Spain is to go to a cafe, order a cheap glass of rioja, read my Kindle, and people watch!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Beauty & The Beast, Shakespeare in Love, Moulin Rouge, the Dark Knight, Mulan, The Return of the King, Harry Potter Part 2, Slumdog Millionaire, The Proposal. I´m sure there´s more but I can´t think of any more.
Music: I am completely boring and cliche when it comes to music - I listen to the top 40 and country. You can make fun of me for it - I´m used to it!
Books: A Thousand Splendid Suns, every Harry Potter book, the Hunger Games, Pride & Prejudice, Mansfield Park, The Metamorphosis, Candide, A Tale of Two Cities, The Count of Monte Cristo, TO Kill a Mockingbird, A Prayer for Owen Meany, American Pastoral, Crime and Punishment, Como Agua Para Chocolate, Cien Años de Soledad, Cien Sonetas de Amor, The Frailty Myth, The Cinderella Complex, the Second Shift, The Second Sex, Racist America, The Faerie Queene, The Tragedy of Mariam, The Revenger´s Tragedy, Othello, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, Globalization & Its Discontents, The Capitalist-World Economy, The Cookbook Collector, Whip Smart, The Help, This is Where I Leave You. This is all I can think of, and I can´t imagine that anyone actually wants to read more anyways.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I rode on top of a school bus in Nicaragua. A low tree branch slapped me in the face, but it was worth it! I stood up and had a brief Titanic moment.
