ABOUT ME

I'm an independent photographer (kaitmauro.com if you want to see my work) and I love to travel. I am working on seeing all 50 of the states right now, since it is just too pricey to buy international plane tickets at the moment. I love forests, mountains, deserts & the sea. I'm quite adventurous and rather creative.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host sometimes, when I live in a space where I am able to, and surf while traveling. I sometimes go to local STL couchsurfers events to meet people and talk travel with fellow surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted and I've surfed. I have not had a bad experience yet.

The Grand Canyon is the most amazing thing I have seen so far.
I've testified in congress and met President Obama.
I jumped in a frozen river on January 1, 2010.
I've watched the sunset at White Sands.
I've dipped my toes in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
I've slept under the stars.
I've stayed in a castle along the Rhine River.
I've bought turquoise jewelry on the streets of Santa Fe.
I've accidentally hiked the "advanced" trail to the Emerald Pool.
I've stayed the night in a giant, glass pyramid.
I've loved.
I've run naked through public spaces at noon (while sober).
I've spoken the truth even when my voice shook.
I've stood at the base of Mt Rainier.
