Hello, my name is Riky, born and raised in Jakarta. I lived Colombia and Spain.
Through travelling, I learn a lot of things, from the people, perspective, passion, friendship, culture and many beautiful thing. Travelling also taught me to pursue my dream.
I describe myself as an individual who loves to do solo traveling, outdoor sports, and adventure. Solo travelling is not only the way to know more about the place but also to know yourself.
I have joined Couchsurfing since 2010 and have experienced beautiful memories.
Now, I live in Jakarta, Indonesia

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

In 2010 I met a couchsurfer from Germany in Batam, Indonesia. She was the first CSer that I met.
Then from Batam, an island which very near from Singapore. I crossed to the Singapore and I had CS pijamas party which also new year eve. It was my first CS abroad experience.
Since then, I also met very amazing people from all over the world in Indonesia and Malaysia through this community. In CS I realized that I learnt a lot of thing about people, friendship, different culture, languages, and meeting new people. The more I traveling, the more I become tolerant, flexible and open minded. Diversity is the new miracle. I learn about life through travelling.

Back to the city where I studies, Bandung, I've been an organizer of CS Indonesia Festival 2011 in Bandung!! It was national CS Festival. I met a lot of good friends and family from CS Bandung. After finishing my study, I moved back to Jakarta. Luckily, most of them were moved to Jakarta as well!

I met many great people when I explored South East Asian, South America and also Europe. It made me believe that amazing people are everywhere.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I did some adventures. I climbed up 4 highest mountain in 4 biggest islands in my country, Kerinci in Sumatera, Semeru in Java, Rinjani in Lombok and Kinabalu in Borneo.
Being a voluntary teacher in rural area of Thailand
I've backpacked in South East Asian for 2.5 month
Studied Spanish in Colombia, then continued to Spain.
Hiked el Paramo, one of unique ecosystem in the world
I've been at Machu Picchu! one of my bucketlist!
Did Annapurna Base Camp trekking in Nepal
