HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting and surfing. Sometimes people ask me why I'm not verified. I'm a bit old school in this respect. I joined this platform over 10 years ago when there was no such thing. The community was small and the probablity to be accepted very high because it was still "special". Now I have 60 or so reviews, have been vouched for and hope that is proof enough that I'd be walking into your home with respect and manners. I just disagree with the concept of paying to be verified. Does that make one more credible than dozens of positive experiences/reviews?
