ABOUT ME

In July 2005 I set out on my recumbent bicycle from the arctic circle in Alaska with the intent of riding around the world. By various and sundry means I made it to the tip of Baja California and from there to Mazatlan Mexico on December 1 2005. Well things happened and I fell in love with Mazatlan and ended up staying there for 2.5 years. On May 1 of this year I continued my way south. My itinerary--subject to change is to go to Tierra del Fuego then New Zealand, Australia, Vietnam, Thailand, Morocco or Tunisia haven't decided which yet maybe both and then Europe. After which I will return to Mazatlan Mexico which is home for me now where I will then be able to return the hospitality I am sure I am going to receive from so many people on this list. As far as interests are concerned I am a massage therapist with 30 years experience and a reiki master and I also know several other types of energy work including muscle testing. I am not religious instead I consider myself spiritual. My spiritual beliefs are best described as new thought. I live close to the ocean in Mexico and really enjoy it. However I also love the mountains for hiking and camping.I am an optimistic person and prefer to think of the glass as half full. Karma, honesty and integrity are very important to me. I enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them over a bottle or 2 or 3 or 4.....of beer. I have a good sense of humor and don't take myself too seriously.

PHILOSOPHY

Very optimistic. I feel that people are basically good decent and honest. You are responsible for what is happening in your life and if you are not happy with your life the way it is right now you can change your experience of it by changing the way you think.

I am new to couchsurfing. However I have participated in the Warm showers list in the past. I have also given bicycle tourists a place for the night whom I have met in Mazatlan

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all types of books and movies. I love to read. For music I prefer classic rock, I love the Grateful Dead, also bluegrass, jazz, new age, relaxation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 1998 I rode my bike across the USA, from Seattle WA to the Jersey shore, 3265 miles in 28 days averaging 120 miles per day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching and sharing energy work and massage. I love sharing my passion for bicycling and bicycle touring. What do I want to learn? What do you have to share? I enjoy cooking and always want to learn new styles and recipes. I love to dance and always want to learn new ways of doing it, although some have suggested I have 2 left feet.
