Aloha,

I am living on the island of Hawaiʻi near Kailua Kona. I work in the field of conservation doing everything from Turtle watches to the growing of Native Plants for restoration. I eat, sleep, and breathe conservation and sustainability. My boyfriend runs a Community Supported Agriculture program at an communal organic farm where they grow coffee, vegetables, and fruits.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Weʻre on couch surfing because I would like to connect more when I travel. This seems to be a great way to do so. I have a short stay in the San Francisco area with my boyfriend and we would like to try out couch surfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Gosh, I like music from so many different genres! I donʻt know how to pick. Honestly, if thereʻs a genre I probably enjoy at least one thing from it. I do enjoy a lot of indie bands that no oneʻs really heard of. Iʻm trying to learn to play the ukulele so that I can form a band with my housemate. Thereʻs quite a nice electronic music scene here on Hawaiʻi Island that I have recently enjoyed being a part of.

My favorite move is I ʻHeartʻ Huckabees... A great existential, environmental, comedic movie.

Books. I LOVE Sci-Fi Fantasy. Iʻm finishing up the Enderʻs Game series now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1st in my family to attend and graduate from a 4 year University!! Also the 1st ever Biologist/Ecologist in the family :D
