About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Use the Yoda force to make good things happen.

ABOUT ME

I am laid back, but passionate about my passions. Funny and a good listener. I'm always curious to learn and discover.

PHILOSOPHY

What I strive for is some of the Dalai Lama sayings:

Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By changing small things around me for the better.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

niks, nakkes, nada, siltch, uberhaupt kein, nothing, rien...

so far :-)

Interests

People making small or big chances to the world that positively impact the future of this planet and the life it harbours. This curiosity, interest and enthusiasm extends for me to space and all our endeavours as a species to explore it.

As a creative outlet I use game building and finding ways to mimic in a computer some of our "intelligence".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The time I saw a lunar eclipse when I was about 8. Even more so when I went in 1999 to Verdun to see a full solar eclipse. It makes you aware of the intricate relation our planet has with the universe. Somewhat related to these two moments is when I stood ankle deep in muck watching the last Space Shuttle lift of from the Kennedy Space Center.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some programming and other nerdy stuff, conflict management, learning to listen. Also I can teach you why Star Wars beats Star Trek.

What I Can Share with Hosts

City walks, nature walks, a bike. Good conversation, nice dinners, relaxation.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Netherlands
