Hi, i'm an American from California (born in Montana), but of Czech descent and currently living and studying and working in Prague (actually currently on an internship in the marvelous Iceland).

The best part of going somewhere new is taking the courage to meet new people and discover their interests, perceptions, and views on life. It is one of the most enriching aspects of travelling, to become more open-minded and aware of the world around you. Trough Couchsurfing, I would love to meet new amazing people that are just as keen to discover the world, and, of course, embark on wonderful adventures.

Interessen

I have loved to travel since I was very young, and now I have a developing interest in photography (paired with frequent frustrations over the lack of a tripod, but that shall soon be remedied). I study International Relations and an interested in human rights-based sustainable development because I want to work in some way for people that deserve a chance to achieve something great to be able to have that chance, and at the same time to promote awareness of the wonderful world that we live in and the many beauties it has to offer. I also love to cook and keep my apartment clean and tidy.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

My favorite genres are Indie and Alternative. As for books I haven't really had a chance to read normal literature recently due to my full work and study schedule, but I enjoy mostly anything set historically. Currently I am reading Catch 22. As for movies, that's a toughie, but I love anything that makes you think and that touches upon philosophical questions (e.g. Cloud Atlas, Interstellar...) I will also love anything silly and comical such as Get Smart.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I don't think it's that amazing but many people tell me it is - going off into the world alone at the age of 16 in order to study abroad to avoid high tuition in the U.S. ... and continuing to build on that adventure every day.

Currently i'm not in Prague, but I would love showing anyone what I consider the hidden gems of the city besides the normal tourist spots. It's something that I believe is always more valuable and experience than taking the well trodden route.
