I think (at least I hope) that they find me enthusiastic, supportive and fun to be with, and that they can trust me when it counts. I know some of them find my level of geekiness mindboggling at times, but I think they mostly find it endearing.

My apartment is a bit cramped, but I can host surfers in a pinch, and I'll be happy to show off my town and recommend cool places and things to do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A couple of my friends have been couchsurfers for some time, and during the summer of 2009 I travelled with them in England. We couchsurfed in Southend and Bournemouth, and had an excellent time.

Interests

I need a healthy mix of culture, nature, people and conversations to thrive, whether I'm at home or out travelling. I spend hours reading, watching movies and TV shows, listening to music and going to concerts, and sometimes I need to share my cultural hang-ups with others, other times I'm fine consuming on my own. The same goes for nature, which can be enjoyed in good company or completely alone. However, I can't go long without talking to or being close to good friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meeting the bassist and the guitarist of my favorite band Blur in the middle of a small town called Kristiansand. This was the same day I saw my first ever gig with them, and I was 18 and completely mindblown during and after the meeting.

My first concert with Esperanza Spalding at a small jazz club in Bergen. As musical crushes go, it was definitely one of my biggest, and it took me completely by surprise.
