Hi there! 👋 I'm Kandarp, a master's student living in Reykjavík, originally from India. I came to Iceland in search of purpose and adventure—and I’ve found plenty of both!

I'm passionate about science, curious about cultures, and always happy to help fellow travellers. I'm a very open-minded and easygoing person. I am a food enthusiast. I love discovering and sharing new foods, recipes and cuisines – not the restaurant style, but the home kind. Apart from that, I like short adventures in life, like. I can be an extrovert and an introvert but prefer to be around people and have chats.

If you’re interested in staying with me, please include your estimated arrival and departure times in your message. It helps me manage multiple guests and plan better. Also let me know if you're comfortable sharing space with other surfers—I can host up to 4 people at a time. I’ll do my best to make your stay enjoyable.

At the moment my calendar may seem empty and available, but I have a complicated roommate situation. One roommate/friend of mine. We both stay together now. His name is Ali; he is from Pakistan and came with me to Iceland to study the same thing. We met as classmates 3 years ago and are now more than just friends. We share this cute studio of mine right now. He is funny, very open-minded and with a helping nature. We both get along well but always disagree everywhere 😆. Don't be surprised if we start quarrelling out of nowhere.

One heads-up: Couchsurfing’s app has some notification issues, so I might reply late. It’s not personal—I just don’t get alerts unless I open the app. Hopefully they fix it soon!

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

In my student life I lived in hostels the whole time, and that was one of the best lives I had. I don't want to miss out; I just am past it. Every time I used to meet a stranger and the next day friends. there was a time when i used to live in a room with 5 more people, and i loved that, so thats why i am here on CS

I love to discover new cultures by trying food and meeting new people. I rarely surf on here or attend local meetings.

I think the most beautiful thing about couch surfing is meeting random people with completely different backgrounds and knowledge that we can share and exchange ideas with, keeping an open mind.
